Notes:

Created by four guys serving in the U.S. Army stationed in Karlsruhe, West Germany. From 1983-1986 they played in and around the Karlsruhe area drawing crowds where ever they played. In 1985 they recorded Keepers of the Sword at Katapult Studios and 500 copies were pressed by Palace Records. It has been highly sought after by collectors of 80s metal.

Not to be confused with Sabre from Cleveland, Ohio (who released the "City Of Flames/Stand And Fight" 7'' in March 1985) or Sabre from Lynnwood, Washington, Sabre from Cincinnati, Ohio, Sabre from New York, Sabre from Hawaii and Sabre from Colorado.

HI m8. I think they are the same band who released the single "city of flames". You can check MA and band members line ups. And I believe they are from Us not from GER. I ll check it again further...

When I prepared this post I was thinking the same as you did, but when I double checked the info about band I change it as well.

Yes, the band members are American but the band was formed and active in Germany. It is a bit the same with the band Aska which was formed by the members of US Army stationed in Germany.

Hi all,

This is Shane 'Snoop' Tyler (drummer of Sabre) No, we only did the one album while stationed in Karlsruhe, Germany in 1984/85 time frame.
A lot of fun and in fact, the album just turned 30!

Me, Pat Murphy and Kenny Browder are still in touch (Facebook) but no one knows the whereabouts of Kevin Marshall. Sad, because we probably could have gotten back together for a reunion gig or something.

Yes they where soldiers stationed In Karlsruhe ,,neureut barracks,,and they played every weekend at all the bars not only around Karlsruhe all over baden wurtenberg
They played a lot of songs from ,,,rush ,,,tom Sawyer ,,,and from ,,,loverboy,,,turn me loose. Etc,,,
