Holy Moses has been around since 1980, amazingly, and is still putting out quality thrash (not like some other 80s thrash bands I could name). This album is their first classic, though. It's got that Teutonic brutality we all know and love, but it's ramped up here from Destruction or Sodom. Seriously, this is some brutal old-school thrash. A listen to the title track will tell you that. The riffing is tight and heavy, all the instruments are tight but just loose enough to get that rough edge. Killer riffs here. This is more straightforward and brutal than some of their "newer" albums like Disorder of the Order - it's going to beat your head in and you're going to love it.

Yes, it gets a little slow with the Kill in the Spirit World and Call of the Wild, but it's definitely a solid album with Tony Martin singing the lead. Just a beautiful album all around with some very memorable lyrics and melodies that kind of got left behind in the wake of Ozzy and Ronnie James Dio. I added a CD single from 1989 including ''Headless Cross (Edit)''. Enjoy...!!!

Riot's 4th release with a change in vocals doesnt miss a beat ! This is a rocking album and a heavy metal attack! Its just incredible that such greatness was denied us by our American record companies at the time, who were simply being lead in various different dirrections at the time. American style heavy metal was just not a priority during the period, and so much good stuff just got left out. Riot was truly a great band and should have been better promoted here in the states. Given that opporuntity I believe that they would have more than held their own up against any of the new wave british heavy metal bands and ( forgive me for saying this because I do love the glam big hair genre) held off the changing music scene.

Their first Hollywood gig was at the Troubadour where they were setting attendance records playing the midnight slot on Sunday nights. They also played at The Whiskey, and The Roxy. Hollywood loved Angeles. They became one of L.A.’s largest Indie bands of the 80’s. They performed at Devonshire Downs outdoor stadium to over 6,000 people. In 1984, Angeles performed at the Reseda Country Club, appearing with Bon Jovi. They have also shared a stage with Quiet Riot, Motley Crue, Ratt, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, and Ronnie James Dio.
