Video Of The Week

This page is dedicated to a video clip found on the Internet, mostly from YouTube. Once in awhile a video clip will be shared with you from us. It can be official video clips, but it can be also recordings from TV or bootlegs. In what ever case, the video clips will show you what we saw way back in the 80's on TV or VHS tapes.

----------------------------------------------------------

Post Mortem (ECU) -  Atahualpa Rock

In the regular posts of the blog, I posted an album made by an Ecuadorian Metalhead with bands from the late 80's and early 90's. One of the bands on the compilation is Post Mortem, they made a video for their song "Atahualpa Rock". And here it is :) And I like it! And I hope you to.

Enjoy!!

Jaded Lady (USA) - Shoot Me With Your Love (1986)

And now we present you a video of Jaded Lady, it was recorded for the TV show NU-Rock.

Enjoy!!

-----------------------------------------------------------

Today I was in a Queensryche mood, listening to Empire, Roads To Madness, well you know the good stuff of the band. Then I thought why not share and show ya the very first video clip of Queensryche! It is the immortal "Queen Of The Reich" (1983). This is surely a blast of the past!

Queensryche (USA) - Queen Of The Reich (1983)

----------------------------------------------------------

Candlemass (SWE) - Bewitched (1987)

This is a classic video! Candlemass' song 'Bewitched' from their album "Nightfall" 1987. It is a great song, but the video kicks ass as well. I have read that this video was the director's (Jonas Åkerlund) first music video, and I have to say he did a great job.

----------------------------------------------------------

Now it is time to get back to the UK and a bit back in time with Angel Witch and the time is 1980! And the song is Angel Witch. Again 'nough said.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Now it is time for a golden oldie! You most probably have seen this before and perhaps many time. But here it is: Twisted Sister with I Wanna Rock from 1984!

----------------------------------------------------------

This video was brought to our attention by Metalmaven, and it is the band called "Reckless" from Canada. The band started in 1978 by Steve Madden and Jan Mendalson, guitarist and vocalist respectively. The band got their chance with the debut album, "Reckless", through the EMI sub-publisher 'Harvest Records'. Weird enough, they didn't get much response in their home country, but they did in the Europe and in the UK particular. Sadly for the band things didn't work out, and they soldiered on for a few years with some line up changes. The last effort was the second album in 1984. Ok enough talk, lets move to the video at hand!

Reckless (CAN) - Victim Of Time (1980)

----------------------------------------------------------

This time it is to turn our heads and ears to Denmark with a bootleg video of Kim Sixx.

Kim Sixx - Bang Your Head (live)

----------------------------------------------------------

Ok this time it is a bit different, no music video clip but a short length documentary called Heavy Metal Parking Lot. Heavy Metal Parking Lot documents Heavy Metal music fans tailgating in the parking lot outside the Capital Centre (which was demolished in December 2002) in Landover, Maryland, on May 31, 1986, before a Judas Priest concert during their Fuel for Life tour (with opening act Dokken).

It is a bit of a nostalgic trip watching this documentary, the 80's was a great time to be a Metalhead. To read more about it, read the Wikipedia article.

Hope you enjoyed the pair of Bitch video's I posted a week ago. This time I keep it with the female fronted bands, and now it is the band "Orphan Allies" and again with a video for the song 'It's Over'. It is from the "Running From The Law" album from 1986. Well enjoy!

Orphan Allies (USA) - It's Over (1986)

----------------------------------------------------------

Sorry, It has been a long time since I posted Metal Video, but here is the latest one, well two I want to share with you.

This time it is the famous, or is it infamous, Bitch from California, USA! The two videos shown are from the album Betsy in 1988 when the band was known as Betsy instead of Bitch.

Enjoy!!
