some great stuff on this blog - really appreciate all the great metal that's collected here - many, many thanks!

but hate this. why?

because of their pro-rape song - forced entry - by these half-wits

Greetings and salutations! My name is Bill Tressler and I was one of the lead guitarists for Animosity as well as one of the chief song/lyric writers for the band. I've wanted to get this off of my chest for years... simply put: I hate the song Forced Entry. Although it did win our way on to the Concrete Forum's Shape of Things to Come comp., its my least favorite Animosity song, both for the simplicity of the music and ESPECIALLY FOR THE LYRICS (written by Hale Kendall). At the time we were trying to be as shockingly controversial as we could, but I do feel the line was crossed here. I, as a musician and as a decent human, deplore the act of rape, and I sincerely apologize to any and all who found themselves offended by the song. Please know, we're not all half-wits (I believe I possess at least 3/4 of a wit) and we certainly don't condone nor wish to make light of such a serious issue. Thank you for allowing me to say my peace!
