Matakopas were a Heavy/Power Metal quartet, formed in Rome, New York in 1985.
Their only release was the full length 1987 "Coming Out Ahead" LP, released by World Records.
Because of it's rarity it has become a sought after item in Metal collectors circles.
A bootleg cd release on Revenge Of True Metal Records has circulated in recent years, but this seems only to have driven up demand for original vinyl copies.
